Pixel and Conversions API
The Meta pixel and the Conversions API set up and checked, so Meta sees real leads and purchases even when browsers block tracking, and can optimise for them.
If you want to hire a Facebook ads expert who also sets up the tracking properly, that is the part I start with. I run Meta Ads campaigns on Facebook and Instagram for leads and sales, built around a specific audience and a landing page made for that audience, with the Meta pixel and Conversions API set up so the results are measurable.
Four parts decide whether Facebook and Instagram ads pay for themselves.
The Meta pixel and the Conversions API set up and checked, so Meta sees real leads and purchases even when browsers block tracking, and can optimise for them.
Who the ads are for, what they are offered and why now. Most campaigns that fail have a targeting or offer problem, not a budget problem.
Campaign structure, ad formats for Facebook and Instagram placements, and creative tests, so you learn which messages work.
A page that matches the ad and makes the next step obvious. As a developer I can build or fix it, instead of sending paid traffic to a generic homepage.
Facebook and Instagram ads are good at reaching people who are not searching yet: they show your offer to an audience likely to want it. That makes them a good fit for products with a visual hook, local services with a clear offer, and remarketing to people who visited your site but did not buy.
They are a weaker fit when people only buy after searching for a specific need. Then Google Ads usually works better, and I will tell you so.
I work online with businesses in Portugal, the UK and the US, and meet businesses in Porto, Vila Nova de Gaia and nearby in person when it helps. The ad account stays in your name, so you keep the data and history.
Meta's ad system learns from the conversions you send it. If the pixel fires on the wrong page, counts a purchase twice, or misses most events because of browser blocking, the algorithm optimises for the wrong people and the reports can't be trusted. Before I spend a euro on ads, I check the pixel, set up the Conversions API so events are also sent from the server, and confirm that the numbers in Events Manager match the sales or leads you actually got.
On Shopify and WordPress this is usually quick. On custom sites it takes a little developer work, which I can do myself.
Most of the result comes from the offer and the creative, not from clever targeting. I help you shape a clear offer, write the copy and plan simple image and video ads you can make with what you have. Then we test a few versions, keep what works and stop what doesn't.
A free 20-minute call about the offer, the audience and what a good result looks like.
Pixel and Conversions API set up and tested before any budget is spent.
Campaigns, creative and landing page, launched with a test budget.
Budget moves towards the audiences and ads that bring results.
Meta Ads are the paid ads that run on Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and Meta's partner apps, all managed from Meta Ads Manager.
You choose a goal, an audience and a budget, and Meta shows your ads to the people in that audience most likely to take the action you chose. The better your tracking, the better Meta gets at finding those people.
Your ad budget is paid to Meta directly, and the cost per result depends on your audience, offer and creative. I help you set a test budget and adjust it on real results. My management is quoted separately.
It sends conversion events from your website's server to Meta, alongside the browser pixel. That keeps your results measurable when browsers or ad blockers stop the pixel from firing.
Google Ads reach people who are already searching for what you offer. Facebook and Instagram ads reach people who are not searching yet. Which works better depends on the product and how people buy it, and many businesses use both.
No, but the budget has to be enough for the campaign to learn. I suggest a starting budget after looking at your offer and what a customer is worth to you, and I tell you honestly if ads don't make sense yet.
Yes. Instagram and Facebook ads are run from the same Meta Ads Manager, so I can limit a campaign to Instagram placements. I usually test both first, because the cheaper results are not always where you expect them.
Tell me what you sell and who buys it. I will tell you honestly whether Meta Ads are the right channel.
