Conversion tracking
Calls, forms, bookings and purchases tracked properly through GA4 and Google Tag Manager, so campaigns optimise for real enquiries, not page views.
I am a freelance Google Ads consultant based in Porto, Portugal. I set up and manage Search campaigns around the keywords people use when they are ready to buy or enquire, and I set up the conversion tracking first, so you know what each click is actually worth before spending more on it.
Most wasted ad spend comes from the same few problems. These are the parts I work on.
Calls, forms, bookings and purchases tracked properly through GA4 and Google Tag Manager, so campaigns optimise for real enquiries, not page views.
Search campaigns built around tightly themed keywords, with ads and landing pages that match what people searched for.
Search terms that waste budget, broad keywords without negatives, broken tracking, and bidding that is optimising for the wrong thing.
Regular search term reviews, negatives, ad tests and budget shifts towards what converts, with plain-language reports on what changed.
If your tracking is broken, Google Ads cannot learn what a good click looks like, and every optimisation after that is guesswork. That is the first thing I check. Many accounts I see are spending on searches that never convert, because nobody has looked at the search terms report in months.
If your website is not ready to convert visitors yet, I will tell you to fix that before spending on ads. As a developer I can fix the landing page too. For the bigger picture, including SEO and analytics, see marketing services.
I work online with businesses in Portugal, the UK and the US, and meet businesses in Porto, Vila Nova de Gaia and nearby in person when it helps. Accounts stay in your name, so you keep the data and history if we stop working together.
When an account already exists, I start with an audit before changing anything. I check that conversions are real (a form sent or a purchase made, not a page view) and counted once. I look at the search terms report to see what people actually typed before they clicked, and add negative keywords for the ones that will never buy. I check locations, schedules, match types, bidding strategy and whether the ads send people to a page that matches the search.
Most wasted spend comes from a short list of causes, and the audit tells you which ones apply to your account. You keep the findings whether or not I manage the account afterwards.
For most small businesses I start with Search campaigns, because they show ads to people who are already looking for what you sell, and every search term can be reviewed. For online stores, Shopping or Performance Max campaigns can work well once the product feed and conversion tracking are right. I add other types only when there is a clear reason.

Conversion tracking first, then campaigns with matching landing pages.
Ongoing optimisation and plain-language reports on results.
A Google Ads consultant sets up, audits and manages your campaigns: keywords, ads, bids, budgets and the conversion tracking that tells Google what a good result is. The aim is more enquiries or sales for the same spend.
PPC (pay-per-click) management is the ongoing work of running paid search campaigns: reviewing search terms, adding negative keywords, testing ads and moving budget towards what converts.
Your ad budget is paid to Google directly and depends on how competitive your keywords are and how many enquiries you want. I help you set a starting budget you can learn from, then adjust it on real results. My management fee is quoted separately.
Ads bring traffic from day one but stop when you stop paying. SEO takes longer but keeps working. Many businesses use ads while SEO builds up. I can help you decide which to start with.
Yes. The account stays in your name and you keep full access, the data and the history.
Clicks start the day a campaign goes live. Useful results take longer: the first weeks are for learning which searches convert, cutting the ones that don't and adjusting bids. I report on what is happening from the start, so you can see it.
Tell me about your account or your plans. I will look at it and tell you honestly what I would change first.
