Fixing ShipStation Connection Error “502 Bad Gateway” in WordPress
If you’re trying to connect ShipStation to your WordPress or WooCommerce site and see this error:
“The remote server returned an error: (502) Bad Gateway.”
don’t worry, it’s a common issue.
This usually happens because your hosting server is using TLS 1.3, which sometimes conflicts with ShipStation’s API connection.
How to Fix It
-
Contact your hosting support and ask them to change the SSL/TLS version from 1.3 to 1.2.
-
Once that’s done, try connecting again in ShipStation — it should work!
If you still have trouble connecting or want help setting up ShipStation properly, feel free to reach out — I can help you fix it quickly.
